All a blur - the name of the site so further explanation is due. The oldest image in this set was captured in 1986; the most recent within the last few months. Individually, they may seem to mean little, but collectively thay are part of a rare body of nude self portraits covering 25 years. Self expression is at it's most personal when we reveal our bodies; in the age of the ubiquity of the internet and digital cameras it can at the same time seem shallow. None of the motivations that might apply in the modern day were in place when this collection started. It was very private, all about insecurity, lack of confidence. However even in the first images there was a motivation to create something artistic, and over time, as the insecurity diminished, the creative motivation took over. Now there's a new motivation, to develop new ways that I can use myself creatively as a model despite age introducing new limitations.
